Mark Tissington

Mark served in the Royal Air Force before pursuing a career in safety and environmental management. He had an ambition to write for many years, and after publication in an industry magazine, Mark decided to pen a novel, the first in ‘The Skipper Series’. Mark sailed the east coast for many years in a family cruising yacht, 'Roanna' and has a love of the sea and boats, so a nautical theme was inevitable for his first novel.

An avid reader, Mark enjoys a wide range of genres and styles but in particular has a soft spot for J.R.R. Tolkien, Douglas Reeman, Denys Watkins-Pitchford (BB), Kenneth Grahame, Seamus Heaney, Isaac Asimov, Genevieve Cogman, and L.J. Ross.

He spent many happy years in North Yorkshire, and now lives in Leicestershire, UK, where he is now at work on the next novel in 'The Skipper Series'.
